By using the Fefdy store, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

These terms govern your use of the Fefdy online store at product.fefdy.com and every purchase you make on it. Please read them together with our Return & Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy.

1. About these terms

The Fefdy store is owned and operated by VKan-V Solutions Pvt Ltd (“Fefdy”, “we”, “us”), having its office at 1B, Esthell Golden Square Apartment, Padmavathy Nagar, Velachery, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600042, India.

These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not need a physical or digital signature. By browsing the store, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the store.

2. Who can use Fefdy

Our books and stories are made for children, but purchases are made by adults. To create an account or place an order you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

Parents, guardians, teachers and schools are welcome to buy for the children in their care, and children may read our free stories under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Children should not create accounts or share personal information with us.

3. Your account

• You can sign up with your email address and a password, or sign in with your Google account.
• Please give us accurate details, especially your name, phone number, email and delivery address — we use them to deliver your order and contact you about it.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at contact@fefdy.com if you think someone else has used it.
• We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, abuse or in breach of these terms. Orders already paid for will either be fulfilled or refunded in full.

4. Our books and product information

We publish and sell our own educational books — including the Vise Bell, Wisdom Crafters, Destiny Navigators, language, rhymes, Evak and other series. We describe each book (grade, subject, age range, page count, dimensions and price) as accurately as we can.

• Age and grade suggestions are a guide. Every child learns at their own pace, so please choose what suits your child.
• Photos and page previews are for illustration. Colours may look slightly different on your screen, and covers may be updated between print runs without changing the content.
• If a book you receive does not match its description, you can return it under our Return & Refund Policy.

5. Prices, taxes and delivery charges

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹).
• GST, where applicable, is calculated on each book at its applicable rate and shown separately at checkout.
• Delivery charges depend on your pincode and the weight of your order. They are calculated and shown, with the GST on them, before you pay. You always see the full amount, with its break-up, before you are sent to the payment page.
• The price that applies is the price shown when you place your order. We may change prices for future orders at any time.
• If a book is listed at an obviously wrong price because of a technical or typing error, we may cancel the order before it is dispatched and refund you in full. We will tell you if this happens.

6. Placing an order and payment

• Your order is placed when you click Place Order & Pay and your payment is successfully completed. We email you an order confirmation once the payment is confirmed.
• Payments are processed securely by our payment gateway, CCAvenue, which accepts credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking and wallets. Your card and bank details are entered on CCAvenue's pages; we never see or store them.
• All orders are prepaid. We do not currently offer cash on delivery.
• If money is deducted but your payment fails or is not confirmed, the order is not placed and the amount is reversed by your bank or the payment gateway, usually within 5–7 working days. If it is not, contact us with your order number and we will help.
• We may decline or cancel an order — for example, if a book is out of stock, delivery is not available to your pincode, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel a paid order, you get a full refund.

7. Shipping and delivery

• We currently deliver only within India. Whether we can deliver to your pincode is checked at checkout.
• Orders are shipped through our courier partners via Shiprocket. The estimated delivery time shown at checkout is an estimate from the courier, not a guarantee.
• Once your order ships, you will find the courier name and tracking number in your confirmation email and on your orders page.
• Please make sure the delivery address and phone number are correct and that someone can receive the parcel. If a parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong or nobody was available, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery or a refund.
• If your parcel arrives damaged or tampered with, please take photos and request a return within 7 days of delivery. If a shipment is lost in transit, we will send a replacement or refund you in full.

8. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Full details are in our Return & Refund Policy. In short:

• You can cancel an order within 24 hours of placing it, as long as the courier has not collected it. There is no cancellation charge.
• You can request a return within 7 days of delivery for damaged, defective, wrong or not-as-described books, or if you are not satisfied with the quality.
• Refunds go back to your original payment method through CCAvenue.

Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

9. Free stories and read-aloud

The Stories section is free to use for personal, non-commercial reading at home or in class. The read-aloud feature uses your device's built-in text-to-speech voice, so the voice, accent and availability depend on your browser and device. We may add, change or remove stories at any time.

10. Copyright and use of our content

All books, stories, illustrations, characters, worksheets, text, designs, logos and the “Fefdy” name are owned by or licensed to VKan-V Solutions Pvt Ltd and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and other laws.

• Buying a book gives you ownership of that printed copy. It does not give you the right to copy it.
• You may not scan, photocopy, reproduce, upload, sell, translate or distribute our books or website content, in whole or in part, without our written permission.
• Schools and institutions that want bulk copies or a licence to use our content should contact us.

11. Acceptable use

When using the store, you agree not to:

• use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
• place fake orders, use someone else's payment details without permission, or misuse refunds or chargebacks;
• copy or scrape the site, or access it with bots or automated tools;
• try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, including the spam protection on our forms;
• upload or send anything harmful, offensive or infringing.

12. Privacy and communications

How we collect and use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. To fulfil your order, we share only what is needed: your name, address and phone number with our courier partners, and your order and billing details with CCAvenue.

We email you about your orders, cancellations, returns and refunds. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will also send you updates about new books; you can unsubscribe at any time.

13. Third-party services

Some parts of the store are provided by other companies — CCAvenue for payments, Shiprocket and its courier partners for delivery, Google for sign-in and spam protection (reCAPTCHA). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from our store.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our books and stories support children's learning, but learning outcomes depend on many things beyond our control. They are not a substitute for guidance from teachers or other professionals.

We work to keep the store available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

15. Indemnity

If you breach these terms or misuse the store or our content, you agree to compensate us for losses we reasonably suffer as a direct result.

16. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — such as natural disasters, floods, strikes, courier or network outages, pandemics or government restrictions. If an event like this stops us from delivering a paid order, we will refund you in full if you ask.

17. Grievance redressal

If you have a complaint about an order, a refund or anything else on the store, please contact our Grievance Officer with your order number:

As required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the National Consumer Helpline on 1915 or at consumerhelpline.gov.in.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your right to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the store. We encourage you to contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly by talking to us.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Each order is governed by the terms in force when it was placed.
